<p>You wouldn’t want to show up to school without your homework, or give a presentation without being prepared, and like those times in your life, you want to start off the day prepared. The more prepared you are, the better the day is.</p>

<p>Every night, try to think about what you will need for tomorrow. A clean outfit, food, your favorite soda, a full tank of gas… Focus on what matters the most to a good day, such as the morning cup of coffee. Think about your schedule and plan for time crunches such as trying to have dinner ready within a half hour of getting home from work. <p>Based on a book and movie, the concept of Pay it Forward is to provide random acts of kindness to people, and instead of asking for that kindness to be “paid back,” ask they <a title="pay it forward" href="http://www.wikihow.com/Pay-It-Forward" target="_blank">pay it forward</a> to someone else, in essence spreading goodness.  Ten ideas to pay it forward:</p>
<p>1.       Tip people you normally wouldn’t tip such as the Walmart Greeter or the Hostess who seats you in a restaurant.</p>
<p>2.       Did you receive awesome customer service at your bank today? Send that representative some <a title="flowers" href="http://www.app.com/article/A8/20110621/OPINION03/106210337/Thanks-person-planting-flowers-granddad-s-grave?odyssey=mod_sectionstories" target="_blank">flowers </a>for your appreciation.</p>
<p>3.       Leave quarters near the games and gumball machines for the kids.</p>
<p>4.       Randomly lay <a title="Pennies Heads Up" href="http://www.nasw.org/users/twoharts/pennymysteries.html" target="_blank">pennies heads up</a> on the ground, for luck for someone else.</p>
<p>5.       See people hard at work outside during a cold day? Bring them some coffee or warm cider.</p>
<p>6.       While driving, if you see someone trying to get over in your lane, brake and let them through.</p>
<p>7.       Tape a dollar bill in random places like under the table for the person so kind to clean the bottom of it.</p>
<p>8.       Let a woman with young kids in front of you in line. Kids hate waiting and she’s losing her mind trying to keep them near her temper tantrum free for your convenience.</p>
<p>9.       Win something from the claw machine? Give the toy to the first kid you see.</p>
<p>10.     Give out inspirational greeting cards at random.</p>
<p>Just take caution when Paying it Forward. Do not give out personal information to a stranger, and only provide what you can. Think safety, and follow your instinct with people.</p>

<p>Haterism is the act of hating people just to hate. Many of us have our haters who try to interfere in our lives in a negative light. They are the people who criticize, insult, and spew negativity. Sometimes they are passive aggressive with backhanded compliments, and other times they are obvious pointing in your face laughing at your mistakes. Kill the hate with Love.</p>

<p>Haters cannot stand to see you happy. If someone insults you, don’t allow their anger to be contagious. Instead, be the medicine. <p>When up against haters, let the hate roll off you. Build your character by responding with positivity, and keep yourself psychologically and spiritually healthy.</p>

Making time to relax at home every so often is important for your health, both mental and physical.</p>

<p>Some people gain weight more easily others. That’s a fact of life that you can blame on your <a href="http://www.cdc.gov/Features/Obesity/">genetics</a>. This is one of the reasons that obesity runs in families. If you have inherited genes that make your father overweight, then you are going to have the same issue. Just like some families tend to have tall or short people, genetics can influence whether members of your family are large or skinny.</p>

<p>Don’t think that you can blame your weight problems on genetics alone. <p>People are under the impression that organic food is safer than foods grown with chemical alterations. The organic mentality doesn’t seem to remember that organic food is more likely to carry pathogens because it isn’t treated with chemicals.</p>
<p>It all comes from farms, but organic food gets its title because the farmer can certify that it was grown under certain conditions that render it so. By 2002, this <a href="http://www.nytimes.com/2009/03/04/dining/04cert.html" target="_blank">popular new method</a> had a full set of rules and regulations to determine if a food could truly be called &#8220;organic.&#8221;</p>
<p><strong>If it’s Bad, Recall It!</strong><strong></p>
<p><strong> </strong></strong>Organic food is grown in a way that is better for the land it’s grown on, but it still undergoes all the same processing other foods do. It gets picked, handled, washed, and shipped to places all over the world, but if it isn’t grown under the specific guidelines federally mandated, it cannot be called organic.</p>
<p>Can organic food be recalled? It certainly can. The first trimester is when you’ll get morning sickness, you’ll spend more time in the bathroom, experience mood swings, and you’ll have many food cravings.</p>
<p>Each symptom is going to vary from woman to woman. There have been some mothers saying they didn’t experience much, if any, symptoms during their pregnancies. Being prepared allows you to quickly treat any sicknesses or symptoms. Don’t let your symptoms bring you down because things will get a little easier during your second trimester.</p>
<p>By about 10 weeks you will see your doctor to make sure your baby is <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prenatal_development">developing</a> properly. This is the time when he or she will check for a heartbeat, get your weight and do a little blood work. Unless your doctor decides to monitor your pregnancy more closely, you won’t be back in the office for another month later around 14 weeks.</p>
<p>Being pregnant is a beautiful thing. No matter how hard your pregnancy might seem, remember that you will get through it. In the end, you’ll be getting a beautiful, healthy baby.</p>

Although you may not qualiify for some of the benefits that are given to people who are in a lower income bracket, that doesn&#8217;t necessarily mean that you don&#8217;t struggle with learning how to juggle your expenses and ensure that your bills are paid on time, too.</p>
<p>As a member of the middle class, it&#8217;s important to live a lifestyle that focuses on taking care of yourself. Even if you&#8217;re feeling nearly stretched to the limit, take a bit of time every day to do something good for yourself. If you&#8217;re engaged in an activity that you enjoy, you&#8217;ll soon find that any stressful situations are pushed to the back of your mind, for a least a few brief, precious moments. Another reason that you need to make sure to take care of yourself is because you need to keep yourself in good health whenever possible. Many members of the middle class do not have adequate health insurance, or any sort of insurance at all, and without proper coverage, a sudden illness can derail your lifestyle quite severely.</p>
<p>Also, don&#8217;t underestimate the importance of setting a budget for yourself. Whether you are prioritizing your expenses on a weekly or monthly basis, it is important to sort out exactly how you spend your money so that you can evaluate if there are any unecessary expenses present. If you do notice that you are spending money on things that you could easily do without, consider the possibility of no longer using your money towards those items. Although this may be hard to accomplish at first, it will likely cut down on your overall stress level.</p>

It is also crucial that they learn to show respect even for people when a difference of generations exists. We hear of the command to respect one&#8217;s elders throughout our lives, but in order to help your children put those words into action, you must accept some degree of responsibility within your role as a parent.</p>
<p>Lead by example. If your children see you acting respectfully towards your own parents, as well as older people in your community, they will be more inclined to follow suit. Help your children understand that people who are older than them, and from a different generation will probably have a different set of morals and hobbies. Explain to your children that although they do not necessarily have to agree with the beliefs of others, they should at least show respect for people who hold differing opinions.</p>
<p>Also, reward your children when they behave with respect. Their actions may be as simple as holding the door for someone, or speaking in a calm tone of voice when in a public place, but even such simple things instill a sense of respect that is so deep-seated it will last throughout a lifetime.</p>
<p>Finally, use real-life experiences as a learning opportunity. If you see someone who is publicly acting very respectful, or conversely acting in a way that is disrespectful to others or themselves, use it as an example, and help your children understand how they should respond if they find themselves in a similar situation. Your children will also learn how to forge successful relationships with others throigh their efforts to be successful, so your teachings in the realm of respect may be even more far-reaching than you realize at first.</p>

It can also just be a general costume party where all children come dressed in their favorite character from Harry Potter, Toy Story or as their favorite princess. Ask the birthday boy or girl what character he or she would like to be. Then purchase the costume and you might even have an extra few costumes handy in case some children come without one.</p>

<li>Control when you go out to eat. Make it no more than once a week (and only on special occasions would be even better). Why should you avoid restaurants? There are a ton of reasons, but a big one is portion control. When Americans go out to eat, we expect big portions. Giant pancakes with lots of bacon. Huge burritos. Plate-sized steaks with a heaping pile of mashed potatoes. These are not healthy portions. When you do go out to eat, never feel pressure to finish what&#8217;s on the plate. Take some home with you for tomorrow. Another reason to avoid restaurants is that when you cook for yourself, you control exactly what you eat. You know what fats, what veggies, and what starches went into your meal. When you go out to eat, you have no idea. A meal at Cheesecake Factory or Olive Garden is generally worse for you in terms of calories than a Big Mac or Whopper.</li>
<li>Control your portion sizes at home. While this technically should involve researching your daily recommended serving amounts and following it (and &#8220;serving&#8221; does not mean &#8220;portion,&#8221; it means a standardized amount of the food), an easier way is to put a small amount on your plate, giving yourself more veggies and fruits than you do proteins or fats. When you&#8217;re no longer hungry, stop eating. If you&#8217;re still hungry after clearing your plate, wait five minutes. Still hungry? It&#8217;s okay to go back for more.</li>

<p>The invention and subsequent rise of the automobile not only changed the face of American transportation, it advanced the industry as well. The Ford production model of the assembly line basically changed the face of American industry. The new model of production created thousands upon thousands of jobs throughout the subsequent years and increased output capabilities of these factories.</p>
<p>Another transportation advancement that directly affected the American public as a whole was the inception of the National Highway System. This highway system was part of the National Highway Act that was enacted in 1956 by President Eisenhower. This new highway system created thousands of jobs for the American public. It also connected the United States via 160,000 miles of highways and roadways.</p>
<p>Both the introduction of the assembly line and the creation of the highway system <a href="http://www.ehow.com/how-does_4899992_did-automobile-change-america_.html" target="_blank">changed Americans</a> in many ways — not just their way of traveling. The automobile has been held up as an icon to the changing face of the middle class of America. They have been able to travel more, finding new jobs and opportunities. In addition, business &#8211; especially agriculture &#8211; saw changes with this new form of transportation. Farmers were able to move their crops and animals quicker and with less cost for high profits.</p>
<p>Automobile industry jobs also saw new business models appearing, such as automobile insurance. The automobile insurance industry also added new blood and jobs to the American economy. 			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>No doubt you&#8217;ve heard from your doctor (or other leading health sources) that you need to maintain a &#8220;healthy lifestyle.&#8221; The phrase has been thrown around so much that you probably don&#8217;t even know exactly what that means. Is it becoming a health nut and swearing off red meat or ice cream? Does it mean running marathons every other week or getting a six-pack? A &#8220;healthy lifestyle&#8221; doesn&#8217;t mean you need to go off the healthy deep end (though if you choose to, good for you). It means that you need to practice <em>moderation.</em> Binging on anything isn&#8217;t healthy&#8211; even too much exercise isn&#8217;t healthy.</p>
<p>Michigan State University recently did a study and broke down four components to a healthy lifestyle. Of the more than 150,000 people they studied, only 3 percent followed all four. That doesn&#8217;t mean it&#8217;s difficult. You just have to understand them and make the commitment to do so. Here are the four components they found.</p>
<ol>
<li>Eat right.<br />
Do you know one of the easiest ways to do this? Stop eating out. No more fast food. Go home and cook yourself a meal. Don&#8217;t settle for prepackaged anything. When you&#8217;re controlling the ingredients, you know <em>exactly</em> what&#8217;s going into your food.</li>
<li>Exercise.<br />
Gyms are excellent, especially in cold winter months, but why not get outside? Take a walk. Go on a hike. Go kayaking. Go for a bike ride. You&#8217;ll feel less boxed in and time will fly faster.</li>
<li>Control your weight.<br />
Don&#8217;t fluctuate. Find your healthy weight, get close to it, and stay with it.</li>
<li>Stop smoking.<br />
There&#8217;s no moderation involved on this one: stop smoking. Period.</li>

<p>Stress is one of the worst things that persons body can endure. That does not mean that there is no such thing as the body benefiting from stress, such as working out or running long distances. <p>1. Breathing exercises- Stress and anxiety are often caused because most of the world does not know how to breathe correctly. Most people take shallow breaths and draw them in through their chest. This doesn&#8217;t allow for the new breath to reach the entire body. By practicing drawing long slow equal breaths, in and out through the stomach a person can ensure that they are breathing correctly and providing their body with the adequate carbon monoxide and dioxide levels to keep their body stress low.</p>
<p>2. Exercise- Often stress is stored in the bodies bones and muscles. By getting exercise a person can gradually work that stress out of their body and give themselves a release. By not getting that stress out of the body it keeps adding up and taking a toll on the body.</p>

<p>One of if not the most important aspect of living a healthy lifestyle is to stay in shape. Many Americans and people all over the world believe that staying in shape means doing this or that. However, staying in shape requires that the individual look at every aspect of their life and then determine what needs to be done to stay fit. Staying fit includes a comprehensive look at what&#8217;s being eaten, how much the body is put to exercise and the mental health that the body is in. By making sure that the whole body is taken care of, an individual can assure that they will be in shape and healthy. Here are just a few aspects that need to be considered when staying fit.</p>

<p>1. Working out- Running or weight lifting is a great way of working out. Scientists have been saying for years now that the only way to ensure that the body is truly active and in shape is to workout. That could be weight lifting or running on a treadmill. Either way, losing calories and putting the body through rigorous workouts is a great way to stay healthy.</p>
<p>2. Eating right- The bodies fuel source is food and a cars fuel source is gasoline. It wouldn&#8217;t be very appropriate to fill the car with juice because it wouldn&#8217;t run, therefore filling the body with things that are bad for it will cause the same outcome. The only way to ensure a healthy diet is to eat right.</p>

<p>Of greatest concern for most students and families is the cost of education. Even online degrees, although generally less expensive than a traditional education, can still be costly for low and middle income families. However, that doesn’t mean that a higher education is out of the question. There are many resources available to help make education affordable.</p>
<p>Of course, everyone knows that there are grants and scholarships “out there.” The problem is not only finding them, but <a href="http://www.ehow.com/how_1907_scholarship.html" target="_blank">finding scholarships</a> that for which you meet the qualifications. For those students with strong specializations, the options may be a little easier and clearer, such as a strong propensity for a specific sports program, musical or artistic talent.</p>

There are also many programs available based on religious, ethnic or cultural backgrounds as well. Additionally, with so many flexible options for specialized degrees, as well as scheduling and course availability, online universities are quickly becoming a viable solution for higher education’s cost problem.</p>
<p>Plus, pursuing a degree online is also the easiest way to keep both a job and the education at the same time, which is an added bonus for many students struggling with today’s education cost.</p>
